The tenth season of Contender Series has concluded. Alin Pereira lost to Smilla Sundell, and Dana White and UFC matchmakers selected four new fighters for the roster.
Aline Pereira was unable to join her brother Alex in the UFC.
36-year-old Brazilian lost Smilla Sundell by unanimous decision - 29-28 on all scorecards. 21-year-old Swede received a contract with UFC after the victory, although Dana White himself initially doubted whether it was worth signing her right now.
Also received contracts Luis Francinelli, Douglas Lapa and Gregory Foster.
Interestingly, the winner of the main fight Eric Visconde was left without an agreement - the organization's management did not consider his performance convincing enough.
