Tony Ferguson secured his third consecutive victory after moving to boxing.
Title defense started off tough for the former UFC interim champion — in the first round, Mahmoud Sebie knocked him down, and in the second he managed to rock the American again.
But Ferguson quickly seized the initiative. He pinned his opponent in the corner and unleashed a long series of strikes, after which the referee stopped the fight at the mark 0:42 of the second round.
For the 42-year-old Tony, this was his first defense of the full Misfits Boxing middleweight title. Prior to this, in boxing he defeated Salt Papi and Warren Spencer.
After a series of eight defeats at the end of his UFC career, Ferguson now goes 3-0 in boxing.
