The Grand Slam in Dushanbe is one of the key tournaments of the IJF World Judo Tour 2026 series, which took place from May 1 to 3 in the capital of Tajikistan. The competition gathered more than 240 judokas from 34 countries, who competed for medals in 14 weight categories among men and women.

About tournament

1–3 May 2026 in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, at the Kasri Tennis arena, the Grand Slam in judo took place, which is part of the IJF World Judo Tour 2026 series. The tournament brought together 240 judoka from 34 countries, including the strongest athletes from Europe and Asia.


The competitions featured both Olympic champions and promising young fighters who competed for medals in 14 weight categories (7 for men, 7 for women). Among the participants were representatives from countries such as Japan, France, Georgia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Italy, and others.


The prize fund was as follows:

– 🥇 1st place: 5 000 € (4 000 € – to the athlete, 1 000 € – to the coach)

– 🥈 2nd place: 3 000 €

– 🥉 3rd place (two bronzes): 1 500 € each


The tournament became an important step in the IJF Olympic ranking ahead of Paris-2028. All fights were broadcast live on JudoTV.com, ensuring global coverage of the event.


After the competitions, from 4 to 7 May, an international training camp (ITC) was held at the base of the Judo Federation of Tajikistan, with athletes from 15 countries participating.
